Hello MOTO,
Thank you to those of you who attended one of our meet ups in June. We seem to have settled into a fairly regular routine now with weekly Monday coffee and then a lunch, brunch, walk and skittles every month. Whilst these are all enjoyable and fairly well attended, it would be good if some other ideas were put forward. Do let me know if there is anything else you'd like me to try and organise. This is the July plan : Monday coffee - we discussed some other cafes at the planning meeting but decided to stick to Walnut Grove for July and will carry that through August as well. 1030 every Monday up to and including 29 August. Friday 15 July - Lunch at YC in Brewery Square (next to Dukes Auction House) at 1230 - email me to book Tuesday 19 July - Skittles at The Colliton Club - meet for coffee at 1030 followed by skittles and then lunch - email to book Tuesday 26 July - walk at The Blue Pool near Wareham -leave Dorchester at 11am - Di and I will drive so we only have 6 places on this unless anyone else drives - email me or Di to book Wednesday 27 July - Brunch 11am at Shire Hall - email me to book Sunday 31st July - Sunday Lunch at Pine Lodge Farmhouse 1pm - email me to book Other happenings that may be of interest: Sunday 10 July - Poundbury Independent Market returns 10-4 with craft and food stalls - more info from the following link https://dorchester.nub.news/news/local-news/get-set-for-poundbury-independent-market-this-sunday-141058 Sunday 10 July - gardens open 2-5 at numbers 6 / 8 / 18 South Walks Road - £5 entrance ( all to charity) https://www.dorsetecho.co.uk/news/20123147.three-stunning-exotic-dorchester-gardens-open-public-part-scheme/ Crossways Travel have a trip planned to Shepton Mallett for the Craft for Crafters Exhibition on Friday 30 September. £34 if we can get a group of 10 together. More info - http://www.bathandwestshowground.com/tag/craft-4-crafters Contact Libby for more details and to book Thanks to all of you who came to the planning meeting. Our next meeting will be Wednesday 7 September at 2pm in the downstairs classroom at the Parish Centre. However, as we are having Sunday lunch on July 31 perhaps we can organise a few things for August then. On a personal note, since moving into my new flat a couple of months back, it has been come very apparent that Vodafone barely has a signal at the bottom end of South Street. Both my numbers are below but my landline is the best best for getting through. Look forward to seeing you all soon, Kind regards Chris Langthorne
