Trips and Outings for 2022                                                                
All day trips are arranged through Crossways Travel  - 01305 851697.  Any bookings made will be fully refundable should Government  guidelines change and the trips cannot go ahead.  All guidelines are strictly followed and Crossways Travel is always happy to discuss any concerns you may have in this regard.   ​                                                                                                                            Tuesday April 5th  - MOMPESSON HOUSE (National Trust)  and SALISBURY MARKET DAY. Mompesson House featured in the film ‘Sense & Sensibility’.  Displays of 18th century drinking glasses and stumpwork (raised embroidery).  Cost £34 (National Trust discount £7.50). BOOKINGS NOW CLOSED.                                                                                  Saturday April 16th - ARUNDEL CASTLE TULIP FESTIVAL  120,000 tulips in 130 varieties.  Explore the historic castle, grounds and new water garden.  Cost £54 (includes entrance to castle and gardens). BOOKINGS NOW CLOSED.                                                                           
Sunday May 8th  - TINTERN ABBEY and THE WYE VALLEY  Explore the scenic Wye Valley and visit Tintern Abbey – a national icon, still  standing in roofless splendour. Stops are made at some of the beautiful towns and villages.  Cost £40 (including entrance fee.) 
BOOKINGS  CLOSE AT APRIL FMM.                                                                                                             Thursday May 12th  - DARTMOUTH PADDLE STEAMER and CREAM TEA Explore Dartmouth before joining our paddle steamer for a fabulous cruise on the Kingswear Castle, the UK’s only coal-fired paddle steamer.  On return we stop for an included cream tea at the House of Marbles.  Cost £49.50. BOOKINGS  CLOSE AT APRIL FMM.                                                        Monday May 30th - THE VYNE (National Trust) BASINGSTOKE  Warm, red-bricked Tudor mansion built in the 16th century and now the family home of the Chute family.  Set in gardens, woodlands and wetlands. Cost £45 (National Trust Discount (£11.50) BOOKINGS  CLOSE AT APRIL FMM.                                                                                ​  
FISHBOURNE ROMAN PALACE & GARDENS - Saturday June 18th £42.50   The largest Roman home and collection of mosaics in situ in Britain.                                                                  MONTACUTE HOUSE & GARDENS (NT) - Thursday June 23rd £39.50.  (NT discount £14).  Elizabethan Renaissance architecture with lovely gardens.                                                              RHS HAMPTON COURT PALACE GARDEN FESTIVAL - Thursday July 7th £57.50.  The world’s largest flower show, all in a magnificent setting. 
SOUTH DEVON SUNSET CRUISE ON THE RIVER EXE - Thursday July 14th £38.50. Time to look around Exmouth before joining our evening cruise.                                                                    GREAT CHALFIELD MANOR & GARDENS (NT) & MELKSHAM - Thursday July 21st £42.00 (NT discount £10).   Visit the lovely market town of Melksham and Great Chalfield Manor, a 15th century house & gardens.                                                                                                             
St. FAGANS NATIONAL MUSEUM OF HISTORY or CARDIFF SHOPPER - Saturday            August 6th Either trip is £29.50. St. Fagans is a wonderful museum set in the grounds of the magnificent castle.                   
                                                                                          HIGHGATE CEMETERY GUIDED TOUR & 2-COURSE LUNCH - Monday August 15th £59.  After lunch we have a guided tour with time to explore.                                                                   IMBER BUS/THE LOST VILLAGE OF IMBER - Saturday August 20th £38.50.  An historic day out on a Routemaster bus visiting the lost village of Imber.                                                                GREENWAY HOUSE & GARDENS – AGATHA CHRISTIE HOUSE (NT) - Thursday September 8th £53.
