Poetry appreciation involves recognising and appreciating in a positive way the skill that went into crafting it. There are no right answers when you respond to a poem, and very few wrong ones, and one person’s opinion is just as valid as another’s. We read and discuss the poems as a group (which is frequently easier than as an individual).
