The u3a is an international movement of locally-run interest groups for people no longer in full-time employment and have reached their ‘third age’, a time to keep minds and bodies alert and active.  The groups provide a wide range of opportunities for members explore new ideas, skills and activities together

The Dorchester and District u3a is one of the larger u3as in the United Kingdom. This means that we are able to offer a very wide range of activities. Members receive a printed newsletter three times a year which is packed with useful information and which compliments this website.
We are located in Dorchester, the County Town of Dorset in the south of England. The town is surrounded by beautiful countryside close to the Jurassic Coast UNESCO World Heritage Site.
