There will be a mixture of 'classroom' sessions and outside visits covering sites and topics both in Dorchester and the surrounding area, and, for 2023, particularly focusing on Fordington and Charminster.
Location of The United Church
For our August meeting we had a very interesting walk around Kingston Mauward led by Tim Loasby. He had a wealth of stories and historical information collected during his time as a lecturer at the college. We also had a fascinating, if slightly damp, explanation of how the water meadows worked and saw the new carving honouring those of the Romany community who lost their lives in the WW2 holocaust.
