FIRST MONDAY MEETINGS
At our next Monthly meeting on May 5th, Mary Smith will tell us the story of school life during WW2, featuring the recently discovered and exquisite artwork of wartime school art teacher Helen Keen, who set out to document in paint and pencil the lives of school children and their teachers as the war unfolded.
At our April meeting, author Bobbie Darbyshire fascinated us with the process of writing a novel from first idea through to polishing the manuscript. She illustrated her story with anecdotes from her own experience of writing five novels (including "Love, Revenge & Buttered Scones") as well as from other well known authors - Lots to think about for our creative writers! If you would like to suggest a speaker for our First Monday Meeting, please contact Christina Eury-Andrews, email: [email protected] |
Our Monthly Meetings are held in the Holy Trinity Centre Main Hall on the first Monday of each month except for August.
The meetings start at 10.00 and with the talk and updates from our Groups starting at 10.30. This is an opportunity to meet your committee members, socialise with other members and be entertained by our visiting speakers. |
