FIRST MONDAY MEETINGS
Our excellent talk on the 6th June was "Emergence of a new medical specialty within the NHS" by Richard Purvis, ex-Paediatrician. Richard's talk, with many personal anecdotes, took us through the development of Paediatrics in the UK from inception to its current established position in the NHS. Now, we even know why the UK has Paediatrics while the US has Pediatrics!
Our next FMM, on 4th July, will start with the Annual General Meeting followed by a talk: “Practical advice on what to do when a loved one dies” by Chris Keenan - Solicitor - Humphries Kirk |
Our Monthly Meetings are held in the Holy Trinity Centre Main Hall on the first Monday of each month except for August.
The meetings start at 10.00 and include a talk and hobbies table. This is an opportunity to meet your committee members, socialise with other members and be entertained by our visiting speakers. |
