FIRST MONDAY MEETINGS
|
At our April meeting, the Bard of Dorchester will talk to us on the the Life and Work of Lucy Baxter - daughter of the Dorset poet William Barnes.
Who knew that the longest time to complete a marathon at the Olympics was over 40 years? Well we do having listened to Ken Kelly's talk on the Olympic Games (1896 -1946), as well as many other weird and wonderful stories from Olympic history. It was a fascinating and very amusing session! If you would like to suggest a speaker for our First Monday Meeting, please contact Christina Eury-Andrews, email: [email protected] |
Our Monthly Meetings are held in the Holy Trinity Centre Main Hall on the first Monday of each month except for August.
The meetings start at 10.00 and with the talk and updates from our Groups starting at 10.30. This is an opportunity to meet your committee members, socialise with other members and be entertained by our visiting speakers. |
