Dorchester U3A Art Group
Update
The dates for the Summer term sessions can be found in the Newsletter.
We remain a very friendly and informal group of artists of very mixed experience and expertise, who tend to choose our own preferred style of art and media. New members for 2022 will greatly appreciate the support and encouragement of the group in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The art sessions usually take place on the second and fourth Thursday of each month from 11.00am until 1.00pm. Members are to provide their own art materials and may bring their own refreshments. (Hand gel and cleansing wipes/cleaning sprays for the tables in the classroom are provided and members may bring/wear their own face masks if they wish but not compulsory. The classroom can be well ventilated)
It is hopefully envisaged that the Art Group will be able, in 2022, to team up again with the U3A Weaving group for another exhibition of our lockdown’s work in the local art/hobbies shop (Frank Herring & Sons) in Dorchester. Come the summer months we look forward to organising a few en plein air sessions and possibly an exhibition at Poundbury.
It's never too late to start painting!
