Alan's Newsletter
Good morning Jazz Friends .
If all goes well, you should be receiving the slightly amended Programme for the rest of the year.
The interesting aspect for this year is that we have 3 Band Leaders coming to talk to us.
In April, its Rob Andrews who leads the High Society Band up in the Lake District,
then in July its our old friend Mike Denham, who, of course heads up The Sunset Cafe Stompers
and finally in September its Chris Walker who leads the Pedigree Jazz Band in Bournemouth.
Incidentally, Mike Denham will be changing venues( for July only) so that he can use the Grand Piano at Signature House but more about this nearer the time.
Finally, you will remember our old friend Bob Kerr who died earlier this year. During his life, Bob built up an impressive collection of Jazz Cds and his wife would like these Cds to be made available to members of our Group ie people who will appreciate them. So, at our April meeting on the 15th of course, we will have this collection for those who might be interested. Felicity M will bring them to the Meeting and for those interested they will be on a side table, , so please help yourselves.
Thanks to Joan H who will be organising things.
Don,t forget if you want to make a comment, please contact me, I'd really love to hear from you.
Very best wishes
