What3words divided the world into 3 metre squares and gave each square a unique combination of three words. It’s the easiest way to find and share exact locations.
What3words provides a website https://what3words.com/ with a detailed map divided into squares.  You can find the 3 words representing any square or find the square for any valid 3 words.
Clicking on any of the links above opens the what3word map showing the specified location.  There is a "Navigate" button on the page.  Click on this and it offers to open a mapping app such as Google Maps with the route to the desired location.
What3words also provides a free app for iPhones and Android phones providing the same functionality more conveniently for the phone.
