Reading for Pleasure 1
This Group is still full, for details of new group see at end of this page.
I’m pleased to say that some of the group have continued to meet via Zoom during the last year.
Our normal block loans from the library have not been available until recently so we have made our individual choices and recommended them to the rest of the group – or not, depending on our experience. These are the titles we read as a group during 2020:
Peter May Coffin Road a thriller set on the Isle of Lewis
Delia Owens Where the Crawdads Sing much enjoyed by everyone
Val McDermid The Grave Tattoo an interesting and intriguing thriller
We are currently reading The Architect’s Apprentice by Elif Shafak which we will discuss in February 2021– thanks to the Duchess of Cornwall for her recommendation!
Depending on lockdown restrictions we hope to get these titles from the library over the next few months:
Author Title Receive Discuss
Ben Macintyre The Spy and the Traitor Mar 2021 Apr 2021
Tara Westover Educated Apr 2021 May 2021
Sally Vickers The Librarian May 2021 Jun 2021
