Good morning All and Happy New Year.
Don,t worry, Jonathan Beaume is still taking over the Jazz Desk but due to unforeseen circumstances we have not yet been able to "handover" so I will be introducing Jim Potts talk on January 13th and we are due to have our Handover Meeting on the 14th , Incidentally, maybe I should reassure you re the continuity of the Jazz Appreciation Programme. This has already been set for the next 3 month , so we have February 10th --- Joan Hutson ---- George Melly March 10th -- Mark Allen----- T B A April 14th--- Christina Eury - Andrews-- The Blues Now, a few words about Jim's talk on Monday January 13th . This is entitled 10" of Hot Jazz. and Jim will be playing selected tracks from some of the earliest 10 inch Long Playing vinyl Jazz records from the decade 1945 - 1955. Interestingly,Jim will be playing the original discs on his record player. !! . So that will certainly be unusual. If you are available and not doing anything more important , it would be good to see you on the 13th and do please come over and say Hello Very best wishes and as I said earlier, Happy New Year to you all |
Here is a selection of Blues Music to reflect our groups extended interest.
