Maths and Physics Group
The MATHS and PHYSICS GROUP Group meets monthly on the 2nd Wednesdays in the Lower Classroom at Holy Trinity Parish Centre from 9.30 am until 10.45 am.
New Members are very welcome. Please contact Group Leader Phil Stacey or Group Liaison Peter Scaife for further information. Group Leader Contact email: mathsandphysics@dorchesteru3a.org.uk telephone: 01305 260803 The group has a WhatsApp group for discussion. |
Topics
In our July meeting, we will have 3 short (~25 mins) presentation on books chosen by members:
Let's have your suggestions for future topics. Our small group will survive only with inputs from members, so come up with more topics that can be covered. Giving a talk is also a great excuse to spend time finding out more about it.
Philip Stacey
- The Constants of Nature by John Barrow
- Visual Differential Geometry and Forms by Tristan Needham
- The mathematician's brain by David Ruelle
