Wine Appreciation Group

The group is rolling merrily along.

The two important things are that within the group, members are enjoying the meetings and are contributing and that the attendance remains high. Currently, we have a full complement of 21 and generally havWine 2e 16 to 19 attending.

If there was enough support then a new group could be started. There would be a minimum requirement for this group of 15 to ensure that accommodation and wine costs could be covered. We have tested a wide variety of wines this year and have had a tasting of foods and matching wines. In the near future, we are having an Alsace wine tasting and are hoping to have a dinner using external caterers with matching wines recommended by a Master of Wine.

The group has a monthly newsletter, which includes useful information, for example “Corks versus Screw Tops”, “Food and Wine guidelines” etc., plus the updated programme.

The Newsletters are being added to this website. Please click on the appropriate picture below.
