Italian Group

 ITALIAN FOR BEGINNERS & ITALIAN STAGE 3

New members will be warmly welcomed in both groups. 

In Italian for Beginners I shall attempt to encourage absolute beginners as well as members with a smattering of the language. No books, apart from a dictionary, are necessary but writing materials should be brought. I confess to being somewhat pedantic & stress a foundation of correct grammar rather than believing that, at our age, we can just absorb a language from hearing Italian chatter!

I also issue HOMEWORK!!!

Italian Stage 3 already includes members with varying knowledge of the language.

For them I have photocopied extracts from newspapers, magazines, books & poems to provides a varied diet for study. I shall intersperse these with some revision of grammar and topics for discussion. It should be noted that I am very much a LEADER of study and cannot claim to be a TEACHER.
