It is hoped to start a NEW German Conversation Group - please contact Mia Lewis on 01308 485032 or Rosemary Agg on 01300 348 835.
Instead of attempting boring ‘Brain Exercises’ intended to fend off the passing years, come and give your brain some worthwhile exercise: learn a new language. German will give you all the exercise you need and more!
There is an added advantage: you will be able to treat yourself and put new skill into practice with a holiday in Germany, Austria or Switzerland, a visit to a Christmas market, or to a wind-growing area, or shopping in Berlin.
Even a few words such as ‘ein Bier bitte’ and ‘Danke’ will be rewarded with a friendly response, but you will know far more words than those by next summer.
Not convinced?
Then come along to the U3A monthly meeting on October 4th, discuss the details and see what is on offer.
A new Beginners’ Class will start on October 11th from 14.00 - 15.30.
German Year 3
This group, which started as a Beginners’ Group, has been disbanded after five successful years together. I thanks all past and present members for their support and encouragement; we have had some great times together, much laughter with some German (well, quite a lot really) learnt on the way.
‘Danke and Auf Wiedersehen!’
