German

Instead of attempting boring ‘Brain Exercises’ intended to fend off the passing years, come and give your brain some worthwhile exercise: learn a new language. German will give youU3A8 all the exercise you need and more!

There is an added advantage: you will be able to treat yourself and put new skill into practice with a holiday in Germany, Austria or Switzerland, a visit to a Christmas market, or to a wine-growing area, or shopping in Berlin.

Even a few words such as ‘ein Bier bitte’ and ‘Danke’ will be rewarded with a friendly response, but you will know far more words than those by next summer.

German Conversation.

This group meets fortnightly in members' homes for general conversation and discussion of a chosen theme. Please contact Mia Lewis for further details. Her telephone number is in the members’ Newsletter.

 German Beginners U3A9

Please Note.

German Beginners finishes at the end of April and resumes in September as German Intermediate.

Further information will follow in the summer.
